Healthy Chocolate Mousse and Nakd Review

This Nakd* Review is seriously overdue but you know, life gets in the way and all that. So I got sent a selection of Nakd bars, Berry Delight and Cocoa Delight. I didn’t eat any of them individually as I thought I would use them both to make a dessert for a meal I was making for my family. Although I did have a nibble on the Cocoa Delight when I opened it which was delicious.

I made a healthy chocolate mousse and the recipe is as follows:

Ingredients:

2 Avocados

5 tbsp Cocoa Powder

5 tbsp Maple Syrup

120 ml Milk

For the topping - 2 cocoa delight bars, 2 berry delight bars

Method:

Add all of the ingredients into a blender and mix together until smooth. Divide into 4 dessert bowls and chill in the fridge for about an hour before adding the topping. Keep chilled in the fridge until you want to serve them.

For the topping, break up the bars into smaller pieces and put them in a food processor to blitz them into large breadcrumbs. Split it into 4 and put evenly over the top of each mousse.

My parents particularly enjoyed these as they are quite rich but with the nakd bars, it adds some texture.

The Nakd bars themselves are guilt free, 1 of your 5 a day and they have no added sugar. Winner right? They are also dairy, wheat and gluten free and they are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. They have barely any ingredients which are dates, cashews, raisins, natural flavour and either cocoa or raspberries, 3 guesses which is in which bar!

Both of these bars also only has 135 calories, for a snack that could be seemed as quite a lot but the ingredients are all natural so you can have a chocolate one and not feel guilty at all!

I think that these are a great snack for anyone and everyone, regardless of age!

*I was sent these Nakd Bars for review purposes and as always my views are my own.

  1. I absolutely love nakd bars, they make such a good guilt free snack to replace biscuits and cakes, which is super useful when you're always hungry like me! I have never thought about actually using them in a recipe before which is really creative of you and I have been trying to find healthier dessert options so I may have to steal this recipe for the future :)
