Banoffee Pie in a Jar with Bonne Maman

OOH it's food friday again, this seems to be becoming a thing, which means I need to find a recipe for next week.

Anyway, when we went away for the weekend for PLB Slumber Party, we were kindly sent some products from Bonne Maman to make our own Banoffee Pie in a Jar.

Obviously anything in a jar is much better than anything else. But with the Banoffee Pie you can see all the different layers of ingredients which I loved.

This recipe makes 6 Banoffee Pies.

½ a Pack of Digestive Biscuits
2 Pots of Whipping Cream
4 Bananas
2 Jars of Bonne Maman Caramel Spread*
Some Grated Chocolate for decorating

  1. Put all of the digestive biscuits into a food bag and seal tight. Using a rolling pin, crush the biscuits until they resemble breadcrumbs.
  2. Whip up the whipping cream until it becomes fluffy, this can take a while, so if you have an electric whisk then take full advantage of this!
  3. Chop up the bananas into thin slices.
  4. In your jar, put a layer of biscuit crumbs and pat down so there is a flat top.
  5. Put a layer of Caramel Spread, as much or as little as you feel you need!
  6. Put a layer of bananas, maybe a couple thick!
  7. Pile on the whipping cream on top of this and then add some grated chocolate on top of this.
Ta-dah! You have the cutest looking Banoffee Pie ever!

We didn't add anything to the biscuit base as the Caramel Spread ran down in with the jar to make it stick together. However you can add some melted butter to make it stick together beforehand.

Let me know if you have a go at making this yourself!

*Bonne Maman kindly sent us some jars of their Caramel Spread to make this recipe.
