Prairie Charms Prize

At Christmas I purchased some Stocking Stuffer bundles from Prairie Charms and was sent a few codes which got put into a draw on Boxing Day. I was lucky enough to get picked! I was beyond excited for this extra Christmas treat.

After a mix up with the Post Office, I finally received mine. I know you're all wondering what was packed into the Sass and Belle suitcase, so here you go:
  • MAC Eye Shadow in Tempting Lustre
  • Sally Hansen Nail Varnish in Plum Luck
  • Ciate Caviar Manicure Luxe in Lustre
  • Essie Sleek Stick Nail Stickers in oh my gold!
  • eos Lip Balm in Honeysuckle
  • H&M Socks
  • Lush Massage Bar
  • Flamingo Candles Wax Melts
  • Prairie Charms Accessories

It is an amazing selection of products and I've already cracked open the Flamingo Candles Wax Melts and made a scent cocktail, they smell amazing. Plum is very in right now so I've loved using the Sally Hansen nail varnish as it goes with the clothes I've been wearing!

I am completely in love with the MAC gold eyeshadow and I am loving the gold look so this is one I am regularly wearing!

The eos lip balm isn't one I've tried before but I love it and I want so many more flavours. Someone make this happen?

If you've seen any of my other blog posts you will have seen my slight addiction to Lush. This massage bar is no exception, I already need another one!

Thank you so much to Prairie Charms for this amazing prize!

My Little Home Box

My last post on My Little Box was whether I would continue with the subscription or not. Let month's was all for the new year and I loved the cute diary and friendship bracelets in it so I kept it going for 1 more month.

I received My Little Box a couple of weeks ago and I was half pleased, half disappointed. In the box I received:
  • Pillow Case
  • Photo Frame
  • 3 Beauty Products
  • A Magazine
I think the photo frame is so cute, and good quality too. I was thinking of customising it to make it a bit more me and to go with the decor of my room!

I completely love the pillow case, especially as it is reversible. I prefer the blue side but I can swap it depending on my mood! I just need too figure out what size the case is to buy the pillow!

I'm never overly keen on the beauty products and this month was no exception. I have received the face mask tube before so now have two to get through. I don't particularly use hand cream so I imagine this tube will go to a better home. My Little Beauty this month is a morning cream which I've started using and I love the scent of it!

The magazine has been massively improved this month and is called My Little World, much better quality and packed full of more. I actually enjoyed reading it this month!

Do you get My Little Box? What do you think of this month's box?

T2 Sweet Dreams Tea

I haven't done a tea review in so long, in fact my last one was here.

My mum recently went to T2 and picked up some tea, obvs, she bought me back a cube of their Sweet Dreams loose leaf tea. I forgot about it for a week or so and recently opened it to try it.

In the blend is: chamomile, apple, silver lime flavour and lavender. It is so amazing!

I used 1 tsp of the loose leaf tea with hot water an hour or so before I was going to bed.

The flavours are absolutely perfect together. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it because of the lavender and rose in it as it can sometimes be overpowering if there is too much in it which isn't very nice!

However, this T2 Sweet Dreams tea was not overpowering of flavours I didn't like and actually had a strong apple taste which I loved.

This is obviously a night time tea and ever since I have been having a cup of this before I go to sleep, I have been sleeping so well! It's a winner for me!

Why tea should I try next?

Sunday Pamper

One of my favourite times of the week is my Sunday pamper session. I used to work Sunday's and  because it was a shorter day I would get home a couple of hours earlier, the perfect time for a pamper!
  1. Run A Bath - I have got myself a good stock of Lush Bath Bombs and Bubble Bars, so the first thing I do is run a bath and add in whatever Bath Bomb I feel like that day.
  2. Put On My Favourite TV Programme - I normally have something from Saturday night that I haven't managed to watch yet so that goes on my laptop!
  3. Grab A Drink - May it be a green tea, fruit tea or cold drink, I always have a drink when I'm in the bath.
  4. Face Mask - I have a tonne of face masks, like too many but I'm slowly making my way through them. 7th Heaven and TT Beauty Masks are my favourites to use, although I've run out of TT Beauty Masks so I need to get some more of them!
  5. Hair Mask - Again, by 7th Heaven, they do the most incredible hair masks. I was my hair with shampoo then put on the hair conditioner mask and tie my hair up while it works its magic.
  6. Paint My Nails - I've recently been using Barry M Acai Smoothie and Pink Lemonade and love the colours, I am so ready for Spring now!
This is my Sunday pamper which is probably going to tun into a Saturday Pamper from now on but it's got to be done!

What are your Pamper Essentials?

Mother's Day Gifts with Partylite Candles

It is almost Mother's Day, the year seems to be going so quickly can I can't keep up! On March 6th, all over the country we'll be giving gifts to our Mum's and Partylite* have got you sorted!

I'm a sucker for massive candles and I love this Glolite candle in Berry Blossom as it smells incredible, comes in a clear glass jar and has 2 wicks. It smells so fresh and is completely perfect for this time of year. I always think large candles like this make the perfect centrepieces for the living room or dining room table.

I personally love having little candles and tealights in my room, because they look so pretty and make my room smell incredible. These China Butterfly Tealight Holders are so pretty and the perfect Mother's Day gift. Along with the most gorgeous smelling tealights in Wild Lemongrass. They smell like a fresh Spring day and will be perfect to go in the tealight holders as a gift!

Lastly, for someone who likes something a bit more subtle then this flower holder with Partite incense sticks will be a great present. They are more subtle in scent and will not overpower your room and are not as bulky to look at as some other candles may be!

All of the products and so many more can be found on the Partylite website for a great Mother's Day gift!

I've got my Mother's Day gift sorted, have you?

MEGA Lush Haul

That's right, MEGA. This post was initially supposed to be a pay day haul but since I have now acquired a large number of Lush products, I couldn't resist but to share them. I 100% blame Kirsty for my new Lush addiction as I probably wouldn't have been so obsessed if it wasn't for her!

I have got:
  • Tisty Tosty
  • Lover Lamp
  • Sakura
  • Blackberry Bath Bomb
  • Honey Bee
  • Unicorn Horn
  • Ladybird
  • Floating Island
  • The Kiss
  • Prince Charming
Well when I put it like that, damn. I can't believe how much I've bought!

I spoke about their Valentine's Range here from when I went to the Lush Southampton event.

I'm excited to use the Blackberry Bath Bomb and Honey Bee Bath Bomb. I'm obsessed with berries and love the smell so I can only imagine how good it will smell. I also can't wait to use Honey Bee as the honey will be moisturising and sweet, aloe vera will be soothing and orange oil will be refreshing!

I think Bubble Bars are genius, I love using them with bath bombs to create the perfect bath. I bought Unicorn Horn and Ladybird. Unicorn Horn is balancing, calming and sweet and makes the bath a beautiful pink, it's heaven!! The ladybird has peppermint oil which makes it smell amazing and is so relaxing after a long day. It also contains geranium oil which is toning and balancing, I completely love this bubble bar.

I picked up Floating Island Bath Oil as I'e just finished my You've Been Mangoed one. I love how soft and moisturising they are from the Shea Butter in them. This one contains Sandalwood Oil which has a musky smell and is uplifting and soothing and lemon oil which is refreshing.

Lastly, I picked up some Prince Charming Shower Gel as I had heard only good things about it and it contains pomegranate which is one of my favourite things. It also contains cocoa butter which is so soft!

Phew, that was a lot!

What are your Lush must haves?

Lush Southampton Valentine's Day Event

On Friday night I was lucky enough to attend an event at Lush Southampton for their Valentine's Day Get Ready With Me evening.

The Lush staff were so friendly when I arrived and they quickly introduced themselves before explaining all of their Valentine's products.

I bought Unicorn Horn last week so I already had an idea of what it was like but it smells amazing! The lavender in it makes your bath really calming and the ylang ylang oil gives it a more floral scent!

They gave a demonstration of the Lover Lamp bath bomb which I loved so I bought one myself. It has a strong scent of vanilla and also has orange oil which is really refreshing. It's great and everything until you have to clean off the floating hearts from the bath!

I wish I'd picked up one of the Roses All The Way soaps. They smell incredible and are perfect for anyone who loves Alice In Wonderland as the rose soap is white and spray painted red, painting the roses red and all that. They are presented on a large green heart soap which is unscented and going to be cut up and sent out to local shelters for people to use, I mean how great is that?!

I am completely in love with The Kiss lip balm. It is so soft and has such a pretty colour, it's going straight in my bag for when I need it. I also love The Kiss lip scrub but I didn't get one as I'm still working through my Bubblegum one.

We were then shown how to make their cupcake face mask and what was in it. I've got quite problematic skin and they said the face mask would be good for this so I cannot wait to try it.

They then showed us all their makeup products which I never knew they had so many! They do so many colours that can be used as lip, cheek or eye makeup. Plus they have such fun names!

After learning so much and having a great evening, I grabbed some products I wanted to try and headed home.

I met some great bloggers who I will hopefully see again soon!

Thank you to Lush Southampton for being such great hosts and for a great evening!

Chicken Arrabiatta

I am a massive fan of Arrabiatta and wanted to try a new take on it. I always make it the same way, which is nothing on my Dad's, so I've come up with a new recipe which is so easy to make and delicious too!

Ingredients:
Method:
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200C and prepare chicken by adding the seasoning of your choice. Cook for 40 minutes.
  2. Spray the pan with Fry Light and add the onion and garlic, let it soften then add the chillies, tin of tomatoes, chicken stock cube and mixed herbs. Let it simmer until the chicken is cooked.
  3. Once the chicken is done, cut into cubes or pull into smaller pieces. I personally prefer pulling it! Add it to the tomato sauce and stir well.
  4. Serve over carrot spaghetti, add some cheese, parmesan would be perfect, and enjoy!

Get your own Very Lazy Piri Piri Chillies at Waitrose for £1.80 a jar. And Very Lazy Chopped Garlic at Sainsburys, Tesco, Morrisons & Asda for £1.45 a jar.

New Opportunities, Emotions & Blogging

I haven't written a life update in a LONG LONG time, as in the 7th November on Reflecting On The Year, THREE whole months ago but here goes nothing.

A lot has happened this year and we're only 6 weeks in. The one thing I desperately wanted to work on was getting a new job/promotion, AND I DID IT. In some ways it's not a new job and it is a promotion kind of. Basically my current job was part time Supervisor in a smaller turnover store, and I spent 3 months working full time and in a higher position than I was. My new job is full time Supervisor in a higher turnover store. If anyone has worked in retail, this is essentially the next step in my career before Assistant Manager and so on, because ya know GOALS.

Because this is my favourite work outfit, and this seems like the perf opportunity to share it. And because Dungaree Dresses, Stripes and Check Scarfs are the best.

It's been emotional, this has all happened in the space of a week and a half, I only found out last Monday I had got the job after having the interview on the Friday before. I honestly thought I didn't stand the chance but I have never been so happy to get a job. It's an overwhelming feeling, to feel like you're actually getting somewhere with your career that I can plan my future and where I want my career to go in the next few years. I haven't ever felt secure in my job as I've always been on part time contracts, there really is a massive weight off my shoulders to have a good income each month!

Today is in fact my last day and while I know this is the best career move, I've made some great friends here and it will be so odd not to see them every day at work! Although I've got plans to see them all soon so it's not all bad.

You may, or may not, have noticed that my photos are slowly getting better, I'm working on it alright! I've got a new layout from pipdig that I'm completely in love with! I want to put more time and effort into my blog, and I've spent a lot of this week coming up with post ideas and working on where I want the future of my blog to go. I'm fortunate to have all my amazing readers that keep reading which is so motivating and I'm lucky to get the opportunities I do to work with some great brands and of course I've met some amazing people through blogging and events, I'm grateful for it all. It has been slow on the blogging and events part since December but I feel like I am ALMOST in a place where I can start doing both again.

Some days are still so slow on Social Media but I'm working on it, as I hate not having an online presence on them. Please bear with me, it's not easy to cram everything in. My main focus was to get a new job, and the minute I feel settled in that, you will see improvements in everything and you'll be sick of me soon enough.

But this is me right now

Technology Wish List

Recently I've been taking this whole blogging and life thing a bit more seriously, you know 22 years too late. I've also had a massive declutter of my bedroom and spring cleaned the whole thing, so I'm now ready to make it a bit more my own and I am loving these Wireless Speakers from Panasonic, and we all do really need some Hi-Fi Speakers don't we?!

Panasonic SC-ALL2EB Wireless Speakers:
These had to be my favourite Wireless Speakers as it is compact that I can pop it anywhere in my room and it won't be in the way! At £129, it is a mixture of convenience and quality, it is an absolute steal. It has a built-in LED clock and alarm which would be a bit nicer to wake up to instead of my blaring iPhone alarm! I also love that you can connect to it from your computer, we all love a bit of convenience with technology these days.

Adobe Photoshop:
This is something I have been dying for for ages, but at nearly £70, it is a little bit on the pricey side! However, now I've upped my game with a new camera and blog layout, I think it's almost time to get Photoshop to make my photos simply amazing, or attempt to! I can hope right!

Now that I'm taking this blogging game more seriously, I do really want to up my photo game, and this light box would be perfect. A lot of the products I photograph are quite small so this light box would be perfect for it, because we can't all wait around for the natural light!

I absolutely love my Macbook Air, especially when I want to blog on the go. However, I am dyingggg for an iMac. My Sister and Brother have them and I am so jealous! It has a bigger screen which would make it much easier to multi task and I can edit photos and write as I go along, I can't think of anything more perfect than having this sat on my desk!

Beats Solo2 Wireless Headphones:

How stunning are these Rose Gold Beats Headphones? Like omg, I need them. I rarely use headphones, purely because I don't have any good quality ones. I would love to have some headphones like this for watching Netflix and Youtube. A girl can dream right?

What is on your Tech Wish List?
