What Is Happiness?

I've been trying to write this post for a few weeks now, in fact longer than that but the past few weeks have seemed a bit more appropriate.

Happiness is a funny little thing, isn't it? I think it's one of those things that's different for every person, and you can get happiness from absolutely anything. Stating the obvious there Adele, good one. But in all seriousness, it comes in so many forms, such as blogging, and something that makes one person happy might not necessarily make someone else happy.

It's the same with fate. I recently ran a Twitter Poll, you know we all love them, on whether people believed in fate and I was relieved to see over 70% of people said yes. Because, you know, I do too. I'm a big believer in that everything happens for a reason. Which is definitely fate. I'm extremely grateful for everything that I've got and worked towards, yes some of it I make happen but when certain things come up just when you're a bit lost and trying to find your way, well what do you call that? 2016 started off to a bumpy one for me, I hadn't achieved what I had hoped for and I was pretty much at a crossroad, it could have gone any way. The 1st of February came along and everything started falling into place, I had achieved what I had truly hoped for and something that would put my mind at least and has solved so many issues!

Of course, it doesn't stop there. Many more good things have happened since then that are all fate and happiness combined, unfortunately there are reasons I can't share them with you, soz I'm such a tease.

Things that make me happy:
  • My favourite people
  • My dogs
  • Blogging
  • Sunny Days
  • Candles
  • And, all the rest.
I've tried to keep this short and sweet, but it's taken me WEEKS to write this!

What makes you happy?

Pizza Party Friday Night

I'm finally back with another Food Friday and it's a special one as it includes Pizza!

A couple of weeks ago I received a box full of goodies from Trilean Healthy Foods* and I just knew I had to make some pizza with some of the ingredients.

After watching a PointlessBlog Vlog (please don't judge me) a while back when Alfie said how amazing The Northern Dough Pizza Dough was, I knew I had to try it. I would say this is a once in a while treat as it is a little on the pricey side, especially when you're buying for 6 people! But it is SO worth the money. I've never tasted pizza dough so amazing. I am desperate to try their wholemeal and chilli bases next!

In the box from Trilean Healthy Foods, I got two different jars of Sundried Tomato Paste*, one original and one chilli. I took a couple of spoons of each and mixed with pasta as it was a very intense flavour. This was what I used for the sauce on the pizza base, except for my brother who is the fussiest person in the world...

We then put on a selection of toppings and popped in the oven for 10 minutes.

I also made some garlic bread by rolling out some dough and topping with a crushed garlic butter mixture. The rest of us didn't get much of a look in as my brother inhaled most of it.

The pizzas went down a treat, however we found the pizza sauce a little salty so I would probably use less sundried tomato paste next time, as I used quite a lot this time around!

Trilean Healthy Foods also sent:
  • Wish Original Milk Chocolate*
  • Wish Cookies with Chocolate*
  • Wish Digestive Biscuits*
  • Wish Dark Chocolate*
  • Wish Chocolate Spread*
  • Wish Chocolate Wafer*

I loved all of these chocolate treats, they are sweetened with stevia and you can definitely tell when eating it. If you are being conscious of your sugar intake then these are better than your regular Dairy Milk. They also do a Hot Chocolate on their website which I'm looking to try!

Thank you to Trilean Healthy Foods for these great products!

I'm a massive fan of Stur*, I've previously tried their coconut water ones which were great and is definitely acknowledging current food trends!

If you've ever seen the Robinsons Squash'd Bottles which is a small bottle of squash containing 20 servings, you know the one I mean? Well Stur is the same, but oh so much better. I got to try 6 flavours:
  • Orange Mango
  • Real Brewed Tea and Peach
  • Green Apple
  • Real Brewed Tea and Lemon
  • Cranberry Pomegranate
  • Blackcurrant Apple
There's not one of these flavours that doesn't appeal to me!

In each serving you get 100% of your daily vitamin C, no sugar, calories or fat, all natural flavours and they are lightly sweetened with natural Stevia extract. In each bottle is 30 servings, however I'm not entirely sure I would manage to get 30 out of it, maybe more like 20.

It's a great way to drink more water, particularly as Stur has 0 sugar and 0 calories. All you need to do is add a squirt of Stur to your glass of water and enjoy! It's so important to drink more water and this is the best way to get it to taste better.

I always keep one in my bag for when I'm at work and out and about.

What do you think of Stur?

Spring Box of Lame - That Lame Company

When I found out the Spring Box of Lame was being released, I absolutely had to have one. I wrote about the Winter Box of Lame here, and it was honestly one of the best boxes I have received.

As a small business, they do their best to cater to their customers every needs, but they also support other small businesses and included some in the box. I received:
  • Plum Boutique Ribbons
  • Wrapped By Alice Gift Tags
  • Cousins Collective Cat Stickers
  • Aloha Lola Card Postcard
  • Life's Big Canvas Birthday Card

I know you're already thinking this is loads! It is and they are all great products and I love the Plum Boutique ribbons, I can't wait to use it in my planners! I also cannot wait to send some parcels so I can add the Wrapped By Alice gift tags to them!

The rest of the box is by That Lame Company and also some Malteasers, winner! This time around they released what would be in the box so I already knew when ordering and they gave us the option of choosing which notebook to have. I went for the Notes wire bound one with gold dots as it matches some of the other products in the box. I also received:
  • Just a lil reminder Sticky Notes x 2
  • I Should Have Done This Yesterday to do list
  • 6 assorted postcards
  • Thank You Card
  • Congratuwelldone Card
  • My Essential Notes Pad
  • This Weeks Meals Pad
  • 1 x Pencil - ya know to write on all the pads with
The quality of these products is amazing and I cannot wait to use it all. I would say it's well worth the money and you can buy all of these products on their website now. So what are you waiting for? Go!

Also in the box was a letter from That Lame Company to say thank you for their customers for their continued support. Well, you're welcome. But really, I wanted to take this moment to say thank you to them. They produce amazing quality products that their customers actually want. I love watching Chloe (mojichlo) on Snapchat coming up with all her ideas and showing everything that goes into making the boxes! So much thought goes into everything she does which is so refreshing for a company! She deserves a medal!

So long story short, good job guys!

P.S. I will be including some of my favourite That Lame Company products in a giveaway next month, so stay tuned.

MEGA Lush Oxford St. Haul

I do love a Lush Haul and my previous haul has been one of my most popular posts. I recently took a trip to Lush Oxford St. and had the best customer service from a girl called Maddie. I mainly wanted exclusives to the store as I don't get a chance to go often and she was so helpful.

I picked up:
  • Sunflower Bubble Bar
  • Bunch of Carrots Bubble Bar
  • Down the Rabbit Hole Bubble Bar
  • Immaculate Eggception Bath Bomb
  • Lava Lamp Bath Bomb
  • Sacred Lotus Bath Bomb
  • Furze Bath Melt
  • Double Vitality Bath Melt
  • I Am A Radiant Being Bath Melt
  • Rainbow Fun
  • Oral Pleasure Tooth Tablets
  • Honey Trap Lip Balm
It's safe to say I don't need any more bath products for a good couple of months, especially since I got 3 more bath bombs for my birthday.

I love each of the products I bought and definitely spent too much time looking at them!

I absolutely had to get Immaculate Eggception as it splits into 3 with a little chick inside. I've got no idea how they got the smaller bath bomb inside and it smells just like Fruit Salad sweets. Can you just imagine a bath like that?!

Lava Lamp is so pretty with it's bright orange with purple spots. This also has a really citrus and sweet scent, perfect for this time of year.

Sacred Lotus bath bomb has got to be one of the prettiest bath bombs I've ever picked up. With scents of neroli and jasmine, it is instantly mood uplifting which is why I'm saving it for a down day.

When I first saw Bunch of Carrots I had to have it, purely for the pink one. A bright pink bubble bath? Yes. Please. This one is very much just for the looks I think, it has that standard Lush smell with a hint of lemon in it but I wouldn't say they are anything special.

The minute I saw Down The Rabbit Hole I knew it was one for me, the colours swirling are amazing. It is yet another fruity one, are you seeing a pattern here? It's not overpowering though, so when I want a bath that is literally a bubble bath and not ora`y with scents, this will be my go to.

Another bubble bar that caught my eye was the Sunflower. It's got actual sunflower petals in the middle and everything. It's also an Oxford St. Exclusive so I absolutely had to have it, knowing I wouldn't be able to get it locally. It is HUGE and will last ages, it's bigger than my hand! This is also a zesty one which is very overpowering with the lemon in it.

I also got 3 bath melts which I tend to pop in with a bath bomb to relax! This is one Lush product I'm still getting used to as I often find the the bath bomb and bubble bars have enough oils in them to make my skin super soft even if they are a bit more expensive than bath melts.

I think the Honey Trap lip balm is to die for and I keep it sat on my desk for when I'm blogging or doing my journal. It smells and feels incredible too!

And lastly, I got Oral Pleasure, great pun there Lush. I have been eyeing them up for a while as they have a passionfruit flavour and it's just a bit of fun! I don't use them every time I brush my teeth as I don't feel like they do as good a job as your old Colgate.

PHEW, if you made it this far, you deserve a congratulations!
What do you think of this haul? I'm always desperate to try new products, what would you recommend?

Vita Coco Coconut Oil

I'm no stranger to Vita Coco*, I've been drinking the coconut water for some time and you can read a previous post on me using it here. The coconut oil has become quite a staple in my house, is that a thing? Can that be a thing? It is now.

I think it is a great and much healthier option to other oils. If I'm cooking and there is some Vita Coco coconut oil to hand then this will be the first thing I reach for. Especially if I'm cooking something such as Bolognese or Chilli con Carne. I think it cooks the meat so much better than olive oil and you aren't left with a greasy after taste or spots of oil throughout the sauce which is very common I find!

Personally, I think that there is no taste to coconut oil and it doesn't have a strong smell which is why I don't mind using it in my food. Whereas my mum can instantly smell it if I'm cooking with it and is sure that it makes a difference to the taste!

So what makes Vita Coco coconut oil so great?
  • There's only one ingredient
  • Organic, 100% raw, cold-pressed coconut oil
  • It's the 'new' ingredient for cooking
  • It doesn't just need to be used for cooking, you can make beauty products from it too!
  • People swear by it!
  • It can completely transform your cooking
  • Apparently it helps weight loss through increased calorie burning, I mean now we're talking!!

The Verdict:
It's a keeper. I love using it in cooking and I've made a small bit of exfoliator too which made my skin super soft!

Do you use coconut oil? What are your favourite uses for coconut oil?
