Vita Coco Coconut Oil


I'm no stranger to Vita Coco*, I've been drinking the coconut water for some time and you can read a previous post on me using it here. The coconut oil has become quite a staple in my house, is that a thing? Can that be a thing? It is now.

I think it is a great and much healthier option to other oils. If I'm cooking and there is some Vita Coco coconut oil to hand then this will be the first thing I reach for. Especially if I'm cooking something such as Bolognese or Chilli con Carne. I think it cooks the meat so much better than olive oil and you aren't left with a greasy after taste or spots of oil throughout the sauce which is very common I find!


Personally, I think that there is no taste to coconut oil and it doesn't have a strong smell which is why I don't mind using it in my food. Whereas my mum can instantly smell it if I'm cooking with it and is sure that it makes a difference to the taste!

So what makes Vita Coco coconut oil so great?
  • There's only one ingredient
  • Organic, 100% raw, cold-pressed coconut oil
  • It's the 'new' ingredient for cooking
  • It doesn't just need to be used for cooking, you can make beauty products from it too!
  • People swear by it!
  • It can completely transform your cooking
  • Apparently it helps weight loss through increased calorie burning, I mean now we're talking!!

The Verdict:
It's a keeper. I love using it in cooking and I've made a small bit of exfoliator too which made my skin super soft!
