Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year

For my very last Blogmas post today, I think the title says it all, but I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I truly hope you all have wonderful Christmases surrounded by your loved ones and have everything you wished for!

I just wanted to take this moment to say Thank You. Thank You for reading my blog, thank you for reading for the past 24 days (edit: I obviously did not complete Blogmas due to being poorly, but I gave it my damn best shot) and then some. It has been an absolute pleasure doing Blogmas and I have loved every second of it. I've written posts I probably wouldn't have written before which has brought me out of my comfort zone a lot, I feel more confident with my blog and I know what direction I want to take it in. I know what I want from it. And most importantly, I feel truly passionate about it again. As with many bloggers, there comes a time where you often lose sight of what you want to write about and how you feel about your blog. There was definitely time over the summer when I fell out of love with it. But I can assure you, I love blogging and I have already got many blog posts planned and written for the New Year, and I really cannot wait to share it all with you.

Once more, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

What To Expect On Adele Louise Smith in 2017

With 2017 just around the corner, I thought it was only right to tell you exactly what I have planned for Adele Louise Smith in 2017!

It's been a long old year on my blog, and this month, doing Blogmas, I have really found my passion for it. Admittedly over the middle of the year, I was in a new relationship, there was a lot going on and I was travelling for work which meant I wasn't into writing much, I couldn't really think!

Towards the end of the year I have been more into writing, finding different topics I enjoy writing about and how often I can keep up with it too.

My aim for 2017 is to post 3 blog posts a week.

I will be posting on a whole variety of topics, including:
  • Healthy Eating
  • Healthy Life Changes
  • Moving Out
  • Bullet Journal
  • Stationery & Organisation
  • Recipes
  • Food
  • Reviews
  • Weight Loss
  • & General Life
And of course, so much more me. Blogging is a passion and something I truly want to enjoy! I cannot wait to see what is in store for my Blog next year.

What would you like to see on Adele Louise Smith in 2017?

Bullet Journal 2017 | Blogmas #16

If you have been reading my Blog for the best part of 8 months now, I have been occasionally sharing my Bullet Journal on here.

It is a crucial part of my life and is really what keeps me organised with my day to day life and next year I want to take it to another level. There are a few extremely important goals that I have set myself in order to achieve particular things before the end of 2017. There are 365 days in 2017, yes well done Adele..., that's a lot of time to achieve goals!

I plan on creating different spreads, some will take one page and some will take up more than that, and I know I will need several notebooks next year!

I've already started on planning for January and so far I have:
  • 2017 Front Page
  • A Yearly View of 2017
  • Goals for 2017
  • Money Saving Challenge
  • Ways to be Successful
  • Ways to Live a Happier and More Fulfilling Life
  • January Monthly Double Spread
And that is as far as I have got so far.

However I think this is plenty to already have! And for the ones I have planned to do:
  • 30 x 30 challenge - 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days
  • Weight Lost - you do not need to know numbers!
  • January Spending Ban - I have stickers and everything
  • Blog Post Ideas - possibly a Bumper Edition
  • Blog Editorial Calendar for January
  • Blog Goals
  • Memory Log
  • Daily Gratitude Log
  • Food Diary
And this is all my ideas!

What Bullet Journal Ideas do you have for 2017?

DIY Advent Calendar | Blogmas #15

This year I decided to make Phil an Advent Calendar, I know what a lucky guy, I'm the best girlfriend ever!

I honestly cannot remember what made me decide to make an Advent Calendar, but it happened! And it will happen next year too, except I would like a big one to hang on the wall!

I will say, if you are on a tight budget this probably isn't for you, however it does work out similar to a lot of the Beauty Advent Calendars, the cheaper of them that is. I tried to keep it at just under £1 a day but the coupons will it up as time goes on!

I got some Treat Bags from Tiger with the Christmas Tree print on, 15 for £2 I believe, and wrapped all the gifts up in that, much quicker than actual wrapping paper and I think it has a nice effect! I also got a cheap stocking to put all the gifts in, in order with 23 at the bottom and 1 at the top, so he isn't tempted to look through them. 24 is something I wanted to wait for and decide as I wanted it to be special and now I've ordered it, I really hope it is.

I thought it would be quite nice for you to know what Phil thinks, so here it is:
It just goes to show how much of what I say Adele listens to because already I have had some of my very favourite sweets and snacks, some of which I have not had for many years (Spiderman candy sticks anyone?) Two of the days so far have been specially made tokens that I have to redeem by a certain date. One is for a romantic coffee date that I must allow Adele to pay for (well, if you insist) and the other is for a home cooked meal of my choice, providing I give at least a weeks notice and I'm fairly certain that Adele already knows what I'm going to ask for! This has been such an amazingly thoughtful idea to help me count down the days to Christmas (because I must have an advent calendar, I'm such a child!) I would highly recommend giving this a go for your parents, siblings, or like Adele, you're significant other as it really is such an amazing surprise.

Here is what I put in his Advent Calendar, up until yesterday so he doesn't know what he's got in store:
  1. Chocolate Santa
  2. Pistachio Nuts
  3. Reese's Pieces
  4. Dairy Milk Caramel
  5. Coupon for a Coffee Date
  6. Candy Sticks
  7. Love Heart Sherbet Dipper
  8. Drumstick Chews
  9. Bubble Gum
  10. Coupon for Home Cooked Dinner
  11. Refresher and Wine Gums
  12. Pizza
  13. Popping Candy
  14. Chocolate Coins
What do you think of handmade Advent Calendars?

Brownie 'Mince Pies' | Blogmas #14

I am not a huge lover of Mince Pies, however I have seen floating around a new take on Mince Pies, Brownie Pies! This is so indulgent, but oh my goodness, so delicious!

Brownie Pies have the sweet shortcrust pastry that normal Mince Pies have but instead have a delicious Brownie filling, sounds delicious right?! I know you want to know how to make them so let me tell you!

You will need:
  • Sweet Shortcrust Pastry
  • 185g Unsalted Butter
  • 185g Dark Chocolate
  • 85g Plain Flour
  • 40g Cocoa Powder
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 275g Caster Sugar
Method:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  2. Grease a muffin tray and cut out circles of pastry to go in them.
  3. Cut the butter into small cubes and put in a medium sized heatproof bowl. Break the chocolate into small pieces and into the bowl. Fill a saucepan a quarter of the way with hot water and let it simmer. Put the bowl on top but make sure it is not touching the water. Melt the butter and chocolate, stirring occasionally to make sure it doesn't burn. Take the bowl off the saucepan and let the mixture cool.
  4. Put the plain flour and cocoa powder in a sieve and sift over a medium bowl to get all of the lumps out.
  5. Break the eggs into a bowl and add the caster sugar. Use an electric whisk to whisk the eggs and sugar together until they look thick and creamy. It should also double in volume.
  6. Pour the chocolate mixture over the egg mixture and use a spatula to fold the chocolate in. Use a figure of eight and rotate the bowl to make sure it is fully mixed in.
  7. Hold a sieve over the egg and chocolate mixture, and resift the cocoa powder and flour into it. Use a figure of eight motion again and fold the flour into the chocolate and egg. It should look like a fudgy mix but don't overdo the mixing otherwise you will knock all of the air out.
  8. Spoon the Brownie mix into the pastry, don't overfill it and leave a little bit of pastry around the edge so it can rise in the oven. Cut out some festive shapes or a circle to put on top to make the pie.
  9. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes, making sure that the brownie is cooked through.
  10. Dust with icing sugar and serve.

How delicious do these look?! These are definitely my go to for baking now.

What is your favourite thing to bake at Christmas?

Gingerbread House | Blogmas #13

Making a Gingerbread House was high on my Christmas Bucket List this year. I'm sure I have made one before but it was a bit of a disaster and we had much more success this year.

I picked up a Gingerbread House kit from Tesco which came with more than enough sweets and icing to completely decorate the Gingerbread House. It came with the house pieces already made so all we had to do was build it, a white tray for the house to sit in, 3 bags of sweets, 2 icing nozzles, and a bag of icing.

We built the house first and watched The Santa Clause whilst it dried so we could then finish the rest of it. We used some sprinkles we had bought the week before so we could add our own twist on it, plus these sprinkles are super festive.

I am super proud of the way our Gingerbread House turned out for a first attempt!

Blogger Secret Santa | Blogmas #12

I am taking part in so many Blogger Secret Santa's this year, 4 to be exact. So here is the 2nd Secret Santa, and I am completely in love!

This one was organised by Bex at Bex Renshaw, and I got some truly incredible gifts from Charlotte at Cups Of Charlotte.

I had the most thoughtful little package, I love it! First of all, the card has a penguin on it, I mean we're already onto a winner here! I first opened the incredible Bath Bombs, and I cannot wait to use them but they will have to be saved for when I go away or we have a bath again.

I also received an incredible Nip + Fab Lip Butter in Spiced Apple which just screams Christmas to me. Also some Lipstick highlighters which will definitely come in handy for various things happening next year (oh, the mystery)! Plus two I Love... Shower Gels in Iced Cookie and Strawberries & Cream. I have always been meaning to try I Love... products but unfortunately have never been able to find the ones I wanted or the stores were out of stock altogether.

Now, it is no lie I love candles, I could probably open up a candle shop with all the candles that I own, but one more won't hurt will it?! This one comes in the scent of Christmas Punch and in a teeny tiny mason jar, and let me tell you, this is up there with one of the best candles I've ever had, I mean look at how cute it is!

Lastly, I received a little Busy B Desk Calendar, this is something that will be mega useful in the New Year and will sit nicely on my desk, when I finally get round to tidying it.

Thank you so much to Charlotte for my really thoughtful gifts, and thank you to Bex for organising it!

What is your favourite Secret Santa present you've received?

Blogger Secret Santa | Blogmas #11

One of my favourite things about Christmas is the giving of presents, never to get something in return, but to watch someone open something they are going to love and use/keep for the foreseeable future makes me happy. Plus another excuse to go shopping, am I right?

So somehow this year I managed to sign up to four Blogger Secret Santa's this year, FOUR, how that accidentally happened I do not know. However, I have had so much fun shopping and wrapping it all up and now I have started to receive gifts from other Bloggers, I just had to share. So, guess what you've got for the next four days?!

I believe that through process of elimination, this Blogger Secret Santa was organised by Liam at Liam's Life.

When I received my parcel in the post, I got so excited, I didn't expect to receive a gift so early but I had to remain calm and not rip it open as I often do. No, I had to listen to the Blogger in me so I could take photos first. It was all ok, I succeeded. In the beautiful red wrapping paper was a couple of gifts. One was a small colouring book that I absolutely cannot wait to get stuck in to. There are so many pretty designs that I was thinking of giving them as gifts, if my colouring is good enough!

Secondly was a larger box, inside was a set of photo clips and lights. I mean fairy lights with little pegs that I can put photos on. What kind of genius thought of that? This is such a thoughtful gift, and I would never have picked up something like this for myself despite loving cute things like this, so it is always so nice to receive these things! They now have pride of place above my desk with all of my photos!

I don't actually know who sent this as they never put a name in it, so if you see this, please tell me who you are so I can thank you properly!

Lush Snow Fairy & Sugarplum Fairy Lip Scrub | Blogmas #10

It is that one time of the year that everyone goes absolutely nuts over Lush products. Obvs because we all want baths and to indulge in all of the incredible Lush products they have in their Christmas range.

However, I have recently had my bath ripped out (I'm still emotionally traumatised by this, it's a very touchy subject), which means I can no longer indulge in all of the wonderful Bath Bombs and Bubble Bars, trust me, this is not good.

So, instead I went for a different product, and it is not often that I would go for a Shower Gel, purely because of the price ticket on it. I was lovingly treated to a big bottle of Snow Fairy, I only managed to get a small one a couple of years ago and last year I used The Comforter Shower Gel which is similar. So I was over the moon by this!

What is the hype all about?
I mean if you have not tried Snow Fairy before, it is Lush. It is like being wrapped up in a sweet smelling hug. It's like candy floss and bubblegum all mixed into one. It smells like a sweet shop when you were younger, but oh so so much better. In all seriousness, it makes you feel squeaky clean and makes loads of bubbles which makes me happy. Plus it's pink, and it has glitter in it, need I say more?

I also picked up Sugarplum Fairy Lip Scrub which I hadn't tried before so I was very intrigued. I already have the Bubblegum Lip Scrub but since I'm almost out, I wanted to update with a different one. I love using lip scrubs, even though you would perhaps get the impression that it might dry out your lips, it is far from it, Lush put in oils that moisturise your lips at the same time, so they feel smooth and soft when you have taken off the excess. Sugarplum Fairy is an incredible purple colour and tastes like blackcurrants so for me it was already a winner.

What is your favourite Lush product at Christmas?

Aladdin at Salisbury Playhouse | Blogmas #9

Last month I was contacted to ask if I wanted to go see Aladdin at Salisbury Playhouse*. Long story short, we had already bought tickets, managed to sell them and meant we got to see the incredible Press Performance!

It was always on the list of things Phil and I had wanted to do in December, along with all the Christmas Markets, late night shopping, baking, you name it, it was on the list. But Aladdin was something we absolutely had to fit in!

From the moment I entered the Playhouse and was greeted with my tickets and a programme and explained where we would be sitting to the incredible scenery that we met when we walked into the theatre, and of course the great company I had, I knew I was going to have an amazing evening!

Aladdin is a pantomime I've seen before, and I had seen it when I was younger, and I honestly thought this would be aimed at children, all the jokes would be for them and it would be pretty tame, so to speak. Oh man, was I wrong. Not all based on the He's Behind You Pantomimeness. This is absolutely one of the best Pantomimes and shows I have ever watched. We were absolutely in our element and I couldn't take my eyes off the stage for one moment, I was amazed.

The acting was incredible, I couldn't pick a favourite character, but if you insist, Widow Twanky was hysterical, I almost cried with laughter and that's when you know I'm really enjoying something! I couldn't fault any of the Actors or Actresses at all, they took on their characters so well and clearly gave it everything they had. If you can't tell, I was seriously impressed. Princess Jasmine also had a stunning voice!

The songs that they sung and adapted were so good! They were songs we knew and it really felt like you were a part of the show, being able to join in and sing along! Plus the voices of the cast were incredible!

It didn't feel like we were in Salisbury watching any old production, it felt like we were in one of the top West End theatres watching a production there, it was that good!

Casting:
Aladdin - Tyler Fayose
Widow Twanky - Richard Ede
Abanazar - Lynden Edwards
Princess Jasmine - Rebecca Hazel
Emperor - Fred Broom
Genie of the Lamp - Melissa Brown-Taylor
Wonton - Tess Kadler
Dim Sum - Domonic Ramsden
Genie of the Ring - Nerine Skinner

This has got to be one of my most favourite experiences I have been able to have as a blogger, and I got to share it with someone I love, hands down one of the best outings we've had an easily one of the best nights I've had this year! What a way to end 2016!

Thank you so much to Salisbury Playhouse for inviting us, we had an incredible time and couldn't have asked for a better evening! You can get tickets to the performance here, which is running from 3rd December to 7th January.

*I was kindly gifted Press Tickets to Aladdin at Salisbury Playhouse

Christmas Gift Guide: Stockings | Blogmas #8

I don't know about you, but Stockings are one of my favourite things about Christmas. I love all the little things and how thoughtful they are, which is probably why I decided to put my boyfriends advent calendar in a Christmas stocking! We get a stocking every year, and it is definitely a tradition that I will keep going forward when I move out (Phil, take note :D). Here are several ideas of what you could put in stockings!

Candles
Little tealights or a votive candle would be absolutely perfect for a Stocking! Yankee Candle do the most perfect ones that you could get.

Chocolate
Is it Christmas if you don't get Chocolate in your Stocking? No, I didn't think so.

Dr. Paw Paw
This is a product I have been loving recently, with the bitter cold, the worst thing is your lips to get dry. It's a multipurpose balm that can be used for lips, skin and hair. It comes in 3 colours: normal, pink and red, so you can choose which one you'd like to get, especially if you're going to use it on your skin.

Makeup
For any girl, makeup is a given! At Christmas time I find that a lot of beauty stores do 3 for 2 on their makeup, meaning more for your money! Bottles of Nail Varnish, Eyeshadows, Lipsticks, Eyeliner, you name it, they make great items for a stocking.

Mydorable Sweets
Mydorable do the most adorable sweets, I wrote a whole review on their Christmas Edition and let me tell you they are so tasty! You can read it here, and I also have a giveaway running over there.

Mini Bottles of Wine
Obviously this is more for the adults among us, this would be a perfect stocking filler! A couple of mini bottles of their favourite wine would make a very unexpected stocking filler.

Tea
And to cure a hangover from all the wine, a nice cup of tea would go down a treat. A box of individually wrapped tea bags or even their favourite tea would be a great stocking filler, something that is actually on my Christmas List this year!

Colouring Books
We all need to relax sometimes and I find the perfect way is through a colouring book, you can get all kinds these days, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, you can find any on Amazon now.

Stationery
As a Blogger and Stationery enthusiast, I absolutely love getting stationery, I now have it coming out of my ears but that doesn't mean I won't appreciate it any less as I'm going to be needing more next year! Paperchase is always a good place to go, Wilko also have a great range, and with so many Youtubers bringing out their own lines now, going to Boots and Superdrug will mean you can find lots of little gift things in there.

What do you have as your Christmas tradition?

Christmas Gift Guide: Him | Blogmas #7

Is it just me or are men the hardest to buy for? I struggle every. single. year. And it's even harder this year, having a boyfriend and all. However, I have come up with a list of Gifts that would be perfect for any man in your life.

PJs
I am pretty sure that every guy secretly loves pyjamas, what else would you wander round the house in when you want to be comfy? There are some seriously amazing PJs out there, Fat Face do some of my absolute favourites and I know my Boyfriend and Dad love them too. ASOS is also a good place for things like this, they have a lot of variety and if they aren't quite into PJs then you could get some sweats instead.

Headphones
So this may be what I've got for Phil this Christmas, don't worry he knows, but you can get some really good quality but also affordable headphones these days. Admittedly, we have got each other the urBeats, but my gosh do they look lush! There are plenty of deals around too, meaning you could get other headphones for less.

Games
If he's into that sort of thing! Fortunately both Phil and my Brother are into gaming, which makes it so easy to ask for a list of games they want and pick any of them to get and they'll be happy!

Ties
At some point in every mans life, he will need a tie, there's no doubt about it! Pick up a really nice tie that he can wear for any occasion and I am sure he will appreciate it!

Beard Trimmer
Or some electronic device alike. One of those gifts you think are seriously boring but will make his life so much easier on a daily/weekly basis. He will appreciate it in the long run!

Aftershave
Another one that is ever popular. It is so easy to go grab any nice smelling Aftershave to keep him going for another year. Very much like yesterday's Perfume, the men in your life will always need Aftershave and you can get some amazing smelling ones in the £15 - £30 range to keep them affordable.

Fountain Pen
If he loves writing, or simply likes to have a nice pen for writing notes, Bureau Direct have an incredible selection and they are now my go to for any Stationery and Pens for their vast selection of brands and products. They also do free delivery over £10, so you save on P&P which is normally the bane of our lives.

Socks
Oh, socks. Is it seriously Christmas if you don't get socks for someone? I have nothing more to say, but damn get that guy some socks.

What is on your list to get the men in your life?

Christmas Gift Guide: Her | Blogmas #6

We all have that difficult person to buy for, there's someone that has popped into your head right now! So I have 3 gift guides coming to you over the next 3 days to help you out, with plenty of time too!

Jewellery
This one is a given, and something that pops up every single year in my house, and I know for a fact it will again this year. I personally don't buy myself jewellery very often so when I do get some for Christmas (bearing in mind, it is never Christmas themed!), I know it's such a thoughtful gift and I do treasure it all!

Candles
At this time of year, candles are pretty much a staple. You can get the most incredible scented candles for relatively cheap too. If you hit up HomeSense, they have amazing Jar Candles for half the price of what you would typically pay! I've also managed to get some lovely Candles from Christmas Markets this year for presents, with the most delicious smelling Christmas Scents.

Perfume
This would be a perfect gift for someone who has everything! Everyone will need perfume, and you can get some incredible Perfumes and Gift Sets out there that would be excellent. My go to perfume is from The Library Of Fragrance, they do the most extraordinary scents from Bonfire to Gingerbread to Play-Doh. That way, the chances are, she won't have any scent like these!

Bee Good Clean Sweep
Bee Good currently have a range of seriously cute gift sets from their Award Winners to Clean Sweep*. All of their gift sets are products they already sell but they have great savings on them and they come in the cutest packaging I have ever seen! I love the honeycomb effect of the gift boxes. The Clean Sweep has two products in it: Honey & Wild Water Mint 3 in 1 Cleansing Water and Raspberry & White Chocolate Lip Balm. The Cleansing Water makes your skin feel absolutely incredible! It definitely gives the Clean Sweep feeling, no pun intended. I have been dying to try the Lip Balm for some time now, and I can confirm, it lives up to and exceeds all expectations I had of it. In this cold Winter weather we've been having, it is so soft on my lips and I couldn't ask for anything more. Plus Raspberry & White Chocolate, heaven.

Beauty Kitchen Create Your Own Lip Balms
For the creative one in your life, or even someone who is obsessed with beauty and would enjoy making their own lip balm, this is for them! It comes packaged in an incredibly cute tin, another product that has amazing packaging! The Beauty Kitchen's Create Your Own Lip Balms* kit lets you make 4 lip balms which are incredible! And it means having moisturised and soft lips all day! They could even share the lip balms around with everyone.

Makeup Brushes
Every girl needs some good Makeup Brushes, I can't even count how many sets I have now but I will always have my favourite which is currently the Makeup Revolution ones! Superdrug currently have an incredible set for only £20, bargain or what? You can find them here. Another one of my favourite things to do is to put together a makeup bag or wash bag full of beauty treats!

Christmas Jumper
Absolutely everyone needs a Christmas Jumper, you can't deny it! There are Christmas Jumpers is absolutely every Clothing Store around. This would make the perfect gift for her to wear on Christmas Day and Boxing Day too! My favourites have to be at Fat Face and New Look, but get in quick as they are sure to be a sell out.

Homemade Hampers
This is one of my absolute favourite things to do, I love putting together a range of a loved ones favourite things that they can use/eat. Food hampers are 100% the best! I did this last year for my sister, got a lovely little basket and filled it with all of her favourite foods and some drink too. It included chocolate, crisps, some alcohol and one of those posh bottles of lemonade!

What are your must have gifts this year?

*Kindly Gifted by the brand for the purpose of a review in this Gift Guide

Christmas Biscuits with Sugavida | Blogmas #5

There is nothing quite like Biscuits at Christmas, am I right? So when I received a packet of Sugavida* I knew what I was going to make right away!

Sugavida is a superfood sweetener, that is found in nature and is also the only plant based source of vitamin B12. Therefore it is perfect for Vegans and Vegetarians and also for those lacking in Vitamin B12. It is used as an alternative to sugar and other sweeteners in drinks, cooking, baking (exactly what I'm doing!) and for anywhere you may use sugar. In replacement of sugar, you only need to use 50% of what you normally would, so you are saving money on that too!

Ingredients:
100g Unsalted Butter, Softened
50g Sugavida Sugar
1 Medium Egg
275g Plain Flour
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Method:
  1. Preheat your oven to 190C.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, a small bit at a time, until it is all well combined.
  4. Stir in the flour to form a dough.
  5. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1cm.
  6. Slice into rectangles or stamp out Christmas shapes.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes then set aside for 5 minutes to harden.
  8. Dip them in white chocolate or add icing.

And ta-da, the perfect Christmas biscuits! I opted for Biscuit "dippers" as then you can have them with a cup of tea!

I personally couldn't tell that there was not normal sugar used in them and I thought they tasted delicious! However, others did say that they didn't taste quite the same, so it is definitely preference to what you like more, with or without Sugavida!

*Sugavida kindly supplied the sample for this blog post

Just Bee Drinks | Blogmas #4

I do believe there is not a better time of year than now to indulge in some delicious honey water drinks. Just Bee* has sorted that right out! They have a range of three drinks, which are infused with fruits and then use a single drop of honey as a natural sweetener. This means their drinks are 100% natural, have less than 4g of sugar per 100ml and contains less than 50 calories per 330ml. Tell me more, I hear you say!

These wonderful drinks come in three incredible flavours: Apple & Ginger, Blueberry and Lemon & Green Tea.

Apple & Ginger:
Not a combination I would personally choose to have together as I find if there is too much ginger it really gets you at the back of the throat! I will agree that it is lighter than a juice which I think is where it has been mixed with the honey and spring water. It is also supposed to be good after a night out, which I could totally believe! I would personally prefer this if it was just Apple.

Blueberry:
Blueberry isn't always my go to flavour out of a selection of flavours, however the blueberry mixed with honey is so good! I honestly did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It is very refreshing and tastes completely natural too. I still might not pick this one up if I had all three put in front of me, but if you like blueberries then this is one for you.

Lemon & Green Tea:
This is by far my favourite flavour, I'm a big fan of green tea and lemon green tea is one of my favourites, I love the slight acidity from the lemon which is perfectly balanced out with the green tea plus a little bit of sweetness from the honey, I mean it's so delicious!

Just Bee is also doing their part with Saving the Bees, they donate 10% of profits to British Bee charities and they also give away free packets of bee-friendly wildflower seeds to customers. How cute is that?

Just Bee comes in the 330ml cartons as seen picture and is sold at Waitrose, Selfridges,Revital and other independent retailers, as well as online on the Just Bee Website. Prices start at £1.49 a carton. So what are you waiting for?!

Christmas On A Budget | Blogmas #2

It is no lie that Christmas is an extremely expensive time of year! Unless you've been saving all year, and those clever ones among us will have, others of us (including me) not so much, then this isn't an easy time of year. So here are my top tips for doing Christmas on a Budget.

  1. Create a Budget for everyone you're buying for, and stick to it. We are all going to go a little crazy at Christmas, buying things for loved ones. So stick to your budget, you can get creative within this, there is no need to go overboard because at the end of the day, they will just be happy to see you over Christmas.
  2. Shop for deals. There are ALWAYS deals on, I work in Retail myself, and there is always something on. I mean Boots do 3 for 2, every single year, and they have some seriously good gifts in their gifting section, you can get 3 gifts for the price of 2 in there, winner! Other stores will have offers on too, Superdrug often have deals on and also Marks & Spencer are doing 3 for 2 as well.
  3. Get Creative. Now, who said you actually had to buy a present, why don't you make your own? Have a look over at Etsy and create something for half the price, it will be so much more meaningful and the receiver will most likely love it too!
  4. Christmas Markets. Hit up all the Christmas Markets, my Boyfriend and I found some unique gifts for so much less than what we would have found them for in stores. Plus it was so much fun wandering around the Markets and looking at everything.
  5. A Christmas Box. This is something I've been building up for years. I have collected Cards, Gift Tags, you name it, all in a Christmas Gift Box for years now. There's no point in throwing any of it away, and has meant I only had to buy one pack of Christmas Cards this year, which I got from Poundland and they were so cute!
  6. Amazing Amazon. I personally think that Amazon has some of the best prices around, I always shop around when I want something and 99% of the time will end up on Amazon, it has the lowest price I'm looking for and actually has the product in stock!
  7. Don't Wait Around. Do not be one of those people that waits around thinking a particular store will go into sale before Christmas. They won't. Ok. And if they do, they won't have that item in stock because every other person that shops there wants it too. I am telling you now, don't make me say I told you so in a few weeks time. Rant over...
  8. Secret Santa. Have you got a massive family? or a massive group of friends? If you do Secret Santa and even set the limit at £20, you can still get a decent present and everyone gets one, rather than spending hundreds and things people might not necessarily want.
What are you top tips for Christmas on a budget?
