A New Adventure!

One of the things I really wanted to achieve this year was to be more creative, at first I thought this would just be through planners, maybe some journalling and scrapbooking, I just wanted to create more. Then I got thinking, I researched a few YouTube videos and decided I would go for it, I decided to make my own Minnie Mouse ears!

I thought about it for a while, planned out what I would need and sort of how I wanted to go about it. I made a list, obvs, of what I needed and what themed ears I wanted to do. I started off with some basic Minnie Mouse ones, for a first attempt I was really happy! Black with a Pink Bow, naturally, and I absolutely loved having a finished product to show the time and effort I put into it!

I have since made some Elsa Inspired - Ice Princess Minnie Ears, Ariel Inspired - Underwater Princess Minnie Ears, Velvet Ears and the Classic Black. I have so much material that I can get creative with, and the colours of ribbons are pretty lush!

I am also creating some Minnie Ears with these beaut fabrics! I can't even pick a favourite fabric, but I will also be doing just plain Mickey Ears without the bows in both the Mickey Mouse and Toy Story fabric, as well as a Classic Black too.

This is something I have become so passionate about and have fallen in love with creating the Minnie and Mickey Ears, it takes a lot of time and concentration but the finished product makes it so worth it! It makes me want to make Alice in Wonderland print skirts! Baby steps...!

Ears Are A Wish Your Heart Makes has been born, it's still in the baby steps stages and I am just having fun creating the ears for now! I have created an Etsy, any support on there would be fantastic! The link is here. Prices are currently as low as I can have them while I get myself up and running, even a favourite on Etsy would mean the world!

I cannot wait to share future designs! If you have any themes you want to see, let me know!

P.S. Shameless plug but do follow me on Instagram for more updates! If there is enough interest I will soon have another Instagram and Facebook page!

New Year New Me January Degustabox

It's February, obvs. But literally is time moving fast or what?! I can't believe that it is the middle of February already, however it has been quite the whirlwind of a year so far. So much has happened but I almost have the feeling that I haven't achieved much even though I have.

The January Degustabox was all about New Year New Me, and I honestly think this theme to the box is one of my favourites! Although there is Easter coming up which is always very exciting!

I am really one of those people that are not about the New Year New Me, but I do also get it. It's an excuse to try that new thing you have been putting off for some time now!

I loved January's box on the whole and it has given me another chance to find some new healthy products.

Mahtay Yerba Mate Sparkling Tea
I loved this! I love iced tea anyway as it's so refreshing so this sparkling tea was right up my street. The drink has a blend of ancient energy - giving properties of South American yerba mate with coconut water and a├žai berries to deliver refreshing taste, natural energy and supportive health benefits.

Clipper Everyday Organic Tea
So tea is probably one of the best hot drink ever, am I right? This little sample was so good! It was such a rich yet delicious tea, and is just a little better than your standard cup of tea. They also use unbleached tea bags and are made with pure, natural ingredients which is always so good to see. How do you have your tea?!

Pulsin Vanilla Choc Chip Protein Booster
If something is chocolate chip then I am pretty much sold already. These protein boosters are perfect for that extra dose of protein but tastes delicious! To me it tastes just like cookie dough but also has dairy free chocolate chips in it which definitely is a bonus. It gives 13g of protein too which will definitely fill that mid-afternoon hunger!

Pulsin Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
This is a brand new product perfect for anyone who has protein shakes. The protein powder is filled with essential amino acids and high in calcium to refuel after a good gym. It has 22g of protein per 25g serving. It is also vegetarian, low fat and no added sugar. I have been assured by Phil that it tastes just like a Vanilla Milkshake!

Lighterlife Fast Ready To Drink Shakes
I have previously seen these products in Superdrug and have often wondered what they are all about - Now I know! It's a diet to work around you, 2 days a week replace all your meals with 4 Lighterlife Fast products. These shakes can be enjoyed as part of the plan, as either a quick protein hit or meal replacement. I am definitely intrigued by this plan and will take a look when I am next in Superdrug.

Explore Cuisine Organic Edamame and Mung Bean Fettucine
I was so excited to try this, I love chickpea pasta so I thought this would be something I would enjoy. It gives a high amount of protein and fibre per serving with a low level of carbohydrate. I personally was not a fan, the texture was great for me but the taste was not as great, it was just a bit too strong for me, I would be interested if they had other flavours though.

Mallow & Marsh Coconut Marshmallow Bar
I cannot even describe how excited I was to see a Mallow & Marsh product in Degustabox this month! I have always wanted to try their products and I absolutely love Marshmallows so this was very exciting. The marshmallow quite literally melts in your mouth, it's so delicious. The products are handmade in England and use only natural ingredients and are under 100 calories each, winner!

Wild Planet Albacore Wild Tuna Steaks
I have tried a few Wild Planet products now and I have loved them all. I read on the packaging that they advise not to drain the small amount of juices they leave in the tin, and to mix it in with the tuna for added flavour and nutrition as there is loas is Omega 3-rich juices. So I tried it out in a pasta salad (yes very basic over here) and it made it taste so much better.

Latin American Kitchen by Santa Maria
Chipotle Mayo Topping & Colombian Crunchy Chicken Bites Seasoned Corn Coating
More products from Latin American Kitchen! We really enjoyed the last lot of products with the rice and sauce for chicken, it was so yummy. I can't say I am a massive Mayo fan, but this would perfect for anyone who likes a bit of a kick with their Fajitas. However the Chicken Coating is a massive hit! Phil and I love these types of things, so we absolutely loved making these. It is a mild blend, but it also has a bit of a kick to it which is perfect. It's so crispy and I love that you cook it in the oven rather than fry it.

Jordans Juicy Red Berry Frusli Bars
These are new to me and I thought Jordans only did Cereals, but they now do cereal bars! I loved red berries so I really enjoyed these, with cranberries and raisins mixed up with wholegrain oats, it was really delicious and the perfect snack to boost your energy.

Robinsons Fruit Cordial
Ever since the last bottle of Robinsons in a previous Degustabox, I have been really enjoying them. I love all the new flavours that they are bringing out, it makes a difference from your Blackcurrant or Summer Fruits (still really rate Blackcurrant though). The brand new Robinsons Fruit Cordials are a sophisticated squash! They combine real fruit and botanical flavours and come in a glass bottle so you feel all fancy.

Hersheys Cookies N Creme 5 Pack Snack Pack
Mmmm, this was a very happy surprise to find in the box! I honestly forget we can get some American Candy over here and I must say I do love the Cookies N Creme Hersheys, it is very very sweet so not something I could eat all the time but it does hit that sweet chocolate fix. I like that it actually has bits of cookies in it, mixed in with the white creme. BRB, just going to eat another one!

You can use the code PU9SR, to get your first box for only £7.99, I can assure you it is worth it!

*The box and its contents were kindly gifted by Degustabox, but as always, all views and opinions are my own.
